About
Janira is a dedicated education leader who has spent her career improving student outcomes and student experiences. With over seven years of experience in the higher education sector in the U.K., she led the development of award-winning programs aimed at addressing achievement gaps, focusing on equity and ensuring all students had the tools they needed to thrive. Her work was recognized for making a significant impact on student success, particularly for those from underrepresented backgrounds.
During her Master in Education Policy program at Harvard University, Janira explored the intersection of policy and educational development on a global scale. As one of Harvard’s Equity and Inclusion Fellows, she is committed to fostering inclusive environments where all students can excel. While at Harvard, Janira held leadership roles in student organizations and conducted program evaluation and research for internal and external clients, including the Kennedy Center of Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
Initial Fellowship Focus: The fellow will support the Department of Buildings by identifying internal operational gaps between departments and leveraging data to contribute to a strategic vision for interdepartmental collaboration.
