Willord brings experience from numerous student affairs roles, having worked in orientation program development, adult student services, student activities, and residence education. His student-centered approach to engagement is grounded by student development theory; he has prioritized holistic student development by providing opportunities for co-curricular involvement, and he has worked with diverse student populations to enrich the overall student experience on campus.
Willord recently served two years as the assistant director for student activities & engagement at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music. In this role, he was responsible for the oversight of a comprehensive student activities office designed to meet the needs of both undergraduate and graduate student populations.
Willord holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from DePaul University and a Master of Education degree in higher education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
