Jenny Folsom is a doctoral candidate in the sociology department at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She uses her academic writing experience to assist the Curriculum Development team with a variety of projects. She is a quantitative and qualitative researcher with an interest in race and ethnicity, colonialism, collective memory, and the history of science. She has also taught sociology courses at UMass-Amherst, Smith College, and Brandeis University.
Jenny grew up in Valdez, Alaska. She earned her Bachelor of Science in sociology at Montana State University before heading to Massachusetts for graduate school. She loves to spend her free time outside, enjoying all the skiing and hiking New England has to offer.
