Stefan Chavez-Norgaard studies urban development institutionally, as a negotiated and historically informed social relation. His research interests include urban and planning theory, local-government and planning law, public policy and planning implementation, and planning practice and urban governance. His has authored publications for “Planning Perspectives,” the “Journal of Urban Affairs,” and “Planning Theory and Practice,” among other journals.
Stefan holds a Ph.D. in urban planning from Columbia University, a Master in Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Arts in public policy and urban studies from Stanford University. Stefan loves exploring New England. In his free time, he likes to hike, backpack, and explore new places with his wife.
